The vampire bat gets its name from the fact that it feeds on the blood of animals such as horses, cattle and pigs. Vampire bats live in the forests and deserts of South and Central America. They roost in dark secluded areas like caves and abandoned mines. This is just a cuddly little vampire bat who won't bite.

Here is a hard to find plush Grey-Headed Flying Fox, also called the Bellingen Island Bat. The flying fox is a fruit bat that lives in Australia. It is a mammal and is the largest type of bat. The fruit bats roost outside in the sun rather than in caves like the smaller bats.
