Very unique plush anteater. Anteaters have a long snout and a long sticky tongue for eating their favorite food - ants.

The aye aye is an unusual looking primate. It grows to about 16" in length. The aye aye is mainly nocturnal and eats wood boring insects that it finds under bark.

Decorative Butterflies

Here are a couple of colorful plush butterflies. The butterfly transforms from an ugly earthbound caterpiller into a beautiful graceful butterfly after emergin from its cocoon. These butterflies have a wingspan of 17" and come is sets of two.

Stuffed Water Buffalo

This is a great looking and hard to find stuffed water buffalo. The Asian or water buffalo is found in Asia, primarily in India. The water buffalo has thick horns that sweep in an outward curve back toward the shoulders (like combing his hair). They feed on grass and foilage. This great looking buffalo is about 32" long and is one of the unique collection pieces from This Place is a Zoo.

Here is another great looking stuffed water buffalo. The gestation period for a water buffalo is 340 days (almost a year).

Stuffed Coatimundi

Here is a hard to find stuffed coatimundi of excellent quality. The coatimundi is a small raccoon like mammal that lives mainly in South and Central America. The coatimundi is an omnivore meaning it eats both plant products like fruits, nuts and leaves; and meat products such as insects, eggs, small birds and other animals. This beautiful plush coatimundi is 22" overall including the tail.

Stuffed Komodo Dragon

Here is a hard to find plush komodo dragon. The komodo dragon is only found on the island of Komodo and nearby islands in Indonesia. The komodo is the largest lizard on earth. It has been known to attack humans.

Stuffed Frilled Lizard

Here is a great looking stuffed frilled lizard, also called the frilled dragon. The frilled lizard is native to Australia. The color of the frilled lizard tends to match the land on which it lives. This frilled lizard is 19" in overall length.

Stuffed Kinkajous

Here is a hard to find plush kinkajou. Kinkajous are furry, long tailed mammals that live in the tropical forests of South and Central America. Kinkajous are nocturnal and spend most of their time in trees.

Stuffed Okapi

Here is a beautiful cuddly plush okapi. The okapi is an unusual animal that has similarities to both the zebra and the giraffe. The okapi lives in the Ituri rainforest of Central Africa. Okapis have dark brownish colored bodies with white striped legs and back similar to a zebra. They have long blue tongues and large ears. The okapi is mostly nocturnal. This floppy stuffed okapi is very soft and cuddly.

The gestation period for a female panda is a range of from three to five months. A baby panda, when born is about the size of a stick of butter. Here is a cute little stuffed sun bear from Hansa. The sun bear is the smallest member of the bear family.

Nice plush red panda. The red panda like the giant panda is a carnivore although the main diet is usually bamboo, other vegetation and insects. The red panda is fairly small and will get to about 10 pounds in weight. The red panda is found in the high forest and mountainous areas of China and Myanmar.

Stuffed Tapir

Here is a great looking and hard to find stuffed tapir. The tapir is an odd looking animal that resembles a pig but has a long snout, almost like the start of an elephant trunk. The tapir is found throughout Asia. They usually are alone or in pairs and search during the night for shrubs, trees and aquatic plants to eat.

Another hard to find plush animal from the collection of This Place is a Zoo. [Philippine] tarsiers have gray fur and a nearly naked tail. The middle finger is elongated. Tarsiers are named for their special elongated tarsal bones, which form their ankles and enable them to leap up to 10 feet from tree to tree.

The toucan is a poor flyer and moves around mostly by hopping. Here is another beautiful and colorful plush toucan.

Here is an unusual plush snake. The rhinoceros viper is one of the most dangerous snakes in Africa. Even small doses of the poisonous venom can be deadly. The rhinoceros viper is called so because of the 'horns' that are located above each nostril. This plush snake is designed in a straight position rather than a coiled position as most of the other snakes are.

Very unique plush anole. The anole can vary its color from bright green to brown. The male anole has a red disc like dewlap that protrudes from its neck when it is feeling aggresive or threatened. I once had a pet anole that I rescued from a container that came back from Hawaii. I fed it crickets and had it as a pet for a couple years.

The sloth bear lives in the region of India, Nepal, Sri Lanka. Sloth bears eat mainly termites but also will eat other insects, fruit, eggs, honey and other vegetation.

Here is a beautiful hard to find stuffed sloth. The three toed sloth is a very unique animal. It is found in the forests of Central and South America. It spends most of its time sleeping upside down in the trees. It is famous for its very slow movements.
